Here is the homework that I expect to be completed upon your return next week:

Chapter 5: We started reading this chapter before we broke for Spring.
If you are not there yet, we are on page 76.

You need to complete the rest of this chapter on your own.
We will review on Tuesday, have a quiz on the Soviet Union on Tuesday and a quiz on Wednesday on the United States. 

We will begin chapter 6 on Wednesday as well.

So today.. again, not everyone finished their homework *cough* cough* (curtis & jan) Today we discussed the homework questions. We talked about our propaganda homework that's due tomorrow. Everyone must selected a topic of propaganda and find a picture for it and present it to the group tomorrow. Oh and the other homework is read pg. 71-74 :)

They Couldn't Have Known...

Today in History we started off class with Bianca’s case study on Leni Riefenstahl. After this, we had a discussion about anti-Semitism using the research from the reports that were due yesterday. We dicussed how anti-Semitism has been around for thousands of years and is still around today and how Hitler went about isolating and then persectuting the Jews. We then proceeded to do a review of yesterday’s homework and went over questions 1-7 at the end of the chapter. Through our discussions we came to the conclusion that Hitler's plan for German hegemony over Europe was pretty crazy. We also decided that although Hitler was gaining power and acting against the Treaty of Versailles, France and Britain could not have seen what was coming. For homework, please read pages 61-68 from the Spanish Civil War to the end and then do questions 8-13. Have a good evening!
