Hey guys,
today we did some great reviewing in class where we compared some of our important terms. Remember to really focus on the terms that Mrs. Loconte taught us for ch. 1 so a key place to find them is the notes, review sheet she gave us, and read the viewpoints textbook. Also the global forces is great for finding terms for our ch. 1 QUIZ tomrrow.
Study for ch. 1 quiz and good luck for your quiz tomorrow!

Finalized Class list

You guys will now pick up the blogging as those who were leaving are out and those who were entering are in.

Tonight.

Read pages 16 and 17. Read only.

Today we reviewed via powerpoint some of the cultural aspects of the early 1900s and delved into new concepts such as Nation-State, Autaky, Sphere of Influence, and Realpolitik. These terms will come up throughout the semester so it is best to get them firmly etched in your mind now.

Your small writing assignment involves reading The Role of the Nation and Individual and stating which idea presented best reflects your own and state why.

The Mona Lisa was stolen in 1910.

Day One, Sem Two, Twenty-Fifteen

Welcome to your History blog.

This will shortly be taken over by you, but until we see who's in and who's out, I will continue to post homework assignments here for you.

Tonight you are researching two topics:
1) Find a recent hunger strike and answer the question in found in figure 1.3
2) Search for countries where women's rights are still on on par with men's.

Answer the three questions under In Review on page 15.

Mmmm, Oero cookies were invented in 1912.
