hey guyzzz soooo we got to hear Anita's great oral report on Mikael Gorb. and tomorrow will be mine. Mrs. Loconte showed some videos on the stuff we were learning about in our text book which really helped understand Russia and how most of the countries in the Soviet bloc bounced (3 countries left 3  stayed)

Frustrated with the World

Friday we recaped UN failures in Somalia and the genocide in Rawanda

Intersting Fact: During the Rawanada genocide, more than 6 men, women and children were murdered every minute of every hour of every day. This efficiency of killing was maintained for more than 3 months.

woo woo weeks almost over

Hey homies today we were missing mrs. Loconte but we had Ms. Yeung so what we did with her was we reviewed our homework questions on the board so that we could all understand the UN better. We also read pg 187-195 so if anyone missed that read it and do the questions #1-9. ALSO today in class the girls especially Anita discovered that Gamal Abdel Nasser looks like me because we were reading about him.

Chapter 10 of Global Forces speaks in more detail of the Cold War (there are 31 questions at the end of the chapter!).
The powerpoint link above answers all of those questions. Most we have learned but some we have not.

Interesting fact : Admiral Onishi was known as the "father of the kamikaze". He committed seppuku (suicide) on 16  August 1945, after the surrender of Japan.
