Oh and by the way.

My Heart Says Friday, But The Calendar Says Tuesday

Hey Guys!,

Today we had a homework check quiz that wasn't for marks, started reading about Hitler and the Nazi party, and had an interesting tangent discussion on Donald Trump being a madman trying to take over America.

Homework:

Do questions 2-7 on page 86.
Be working on your research projects, the presentations start Thursday!

Have a terrible evening everyone! :P

Fun Fact (Beware this one is long):
nigiri zushi or nigiri was introduced in the early 19th century as a street food, it was an oblong mound of rice with a slice of fish on top of it. It was after the Kanto earthquake of 1923 that the dish was popularized throughout Japan through displacement of nigiri sushi chefs. The sushi we know today was an early type of fast food developed for the busy lifestyle that people in Edo (what we know today as Tokyo) lived.

Dear Mrs. Loconte's Blog: Why Can't We Be Friends, Why Can't We Be Friends

Hello my classmates
On this fine Sunday night
After years of blood, sweat, and tears,
I have accessed the blog.
Save your congratulations for Monday, but I'll let you know my success came through perseverance, hard work, and an old gmail account.
Anyways! In class we worked on our totalitarian regime leader projects. The homework that is assigned is reading up until page 75, and do all In Review Questions

"But what really is this historical verity in most cases? a lie agreed on..." -Napoléon Bonaparte

Salutations, ladies and a gentleman.

At this most productive day we, sweating profusely, wrote our first bonus quiz. However, we must keep in mind, despite the grand scale of information available to us, that "Newspapers are not history, any more than bulletins are". In addition to the wonderful testing of our memory, we analysed and discussed the review questions on WWI.

Your tasks, my friends (yes, some of us are friends!), is to finish what you've started. Remember, that "Each hour wasted in youth is a hazard of misfortune taken for the future."

1. Finish reading WWI
2. Do page 61 Questions 1-6

Remember not to lie to your teacher about not doing your homework. "A lie is useless, because it deceives but once."

I don't remember who has to do which project, since my mind is set on Mr. Lenin, so if you are responsible for any presentations tomorrow I hope you remember.

P.S Test on thursday so pack your bags

The First of Many

Hello! Today we had our first debate as a class; for or against imperialism.
Amos presented our first profile on Picasso
We also did a quiz today; hope it went well.
Homework:
Read the beginning of Chapter Two: World War I
Read pages 33-36 and answer questions 1-3 on page 37.

Just a reminder that Natalie and Hannah are next for presenting profiles: Pick between Wilson or the Spanish Flu-- secondary source is a must!

Have a good day :)

Victoria's Secret

Today we went over the homework at the end of the first chapter. We covered world superpowers and the changes that occurred within them at the turn of the century. New perspectives (capitalism, liberalism, suffrage, etc) became increasingly accepted as time went on.

We also split into two debate teams, pro-imperialism vs. against imperialism. Think about your arguments and be prepared to meet with your groups in class tomorrow before our debate.

Quiz tomorrow on Chapter 1, finish the review sheet for homework.

The more things change, the more they stay the same?

Here is the website to check out. Read as little or as much as you want.

You already know the homework: end your reading with transportation don't read communication and answer 1 and 2.

Think about Realpolitik.
