From Emma: Happy Monday!

Today we watched a video on "The Rite of Spring", a ballet by Stravinsky. 

We discussed how art and music played their part in foreshadowing violence for the new century. 

We also talked about the Boer and Russo-Japanese Wars as well as the Monroe doctrine. 

For homework tonight, complete the matching worksheet handed out in class and read over http://everydaysexism.com/. Please also read the remainder of the textbook section (up to p. 27) and do the questions.
