I hope you had a relaxing, self-distancing/isolating Spring Break.
I am happy to be back at it and I hope you are too!
Routine is the best way to help days feel productive and eventful.
This is just a quick 'touch base' to let you know I will be in virtual meetings today so we as a staff can discuss the best way to move our classes online. I will follow up with you tomorrow morning once I finish my meetings and get a sense of how best to proceed with the curriculum.
For now, if you haven't already done so, please email me your homework that was due today. We were also supposed to have a current events quiz today...and despite there really only being one topic of discussion right now, I think I can still pull of 5 questions to ask. I will get back to you on that later.
Right now let's just continue into the Cold War section: read page 105 to the bottom of 110 in Twentieth Century Viewpoints. Pay attention to the 'Allied Conferences' on the bottom of 110 as many of those conferences shaped the bi-polar world that followed WW2. The proceeding few pages focus on the technology of WW2 but let's not discuss that until we have had time to discuss the first sections of the readings. There are no questions to complete in the 'In Review' section just yet but if you feel so inclined why not post up 5 thoughtful questions that the readings have brought to mind. It may be a good way to foster discussion once classes are up and running, digitally speaking. Again, more on that after my meetings.
Have a great day, ladies!
Walk in faith not fear,
Mrs Loconte
P.S. Don't think it's too early for the COVID memes, do you?
