Today we read and discussed about why Japan attacked America and invaded Manchuria, we also listened to two oral reports on the Kamikaze and Emperor Hirohito. After that we were quite shocked to be handed a quiz that included drawing scenes of the war, and we were assigned reading for the next day.
Homework: read pages 235-238 in global forces, do not read wars of national liberation.
Song projects! 😱
Fun fact not really that much of a fact I guess:
A senryu (type of Japanese poem) was written about the 3 major daimyo (warlords/leaders) who contributed to the unification of Japan in the Sengoku period. Each line is meant to represent their personality and the way they would deal with problems.
If the cuckoo does not sing, kill it
If the cuckoo does not sing, coax it
If the cuckoo does not sing, wait for it
Nobunaga Oda, the subject of the first line is known for ruthlessness, Toyotomi Hideyoshi is known for his resourcefulness, and the third subject Tokugawa Ieyasu is known for his perseverance.
Bye bye
